If I select the phone options to send a card it connects but then it drops the connection and that has nothing to do with bitpim.

Trial-and-error. I kept fiddling with things until I was able to get it to connect. In the end I had to create a new serial port to go with the bluetooth device. Once I did that I was able to connect. It gave me a panel with the phone's owner (me) and I had to click OK; I don't recall that ever happening before. After that it worked okay.

I have no idea what has happened in the past several months. I used to have a serial port that bluetooth would use but it must have gotten deleted somewhere along the line.
