Have you tried actually modprobing the driver instead of listing the module?

As root or su issue:

modprobe cdc-acm

To check that it's loaded

lsmod | grep cdc-acm

Hi,

Sorry if this was already answered but I'm new to the list. I'm trying
to retrieve some pictures from an old phone Audiovox cdm9950sp. I set
the port to "auto" mode but the programs says that it "failed" detecting
the phone. I read that I need to have the module cdc-acm.ko loaded in
the kernel. If I do:

$ modprobe -l | grep acm

y get:

kernel/drivers/usb/class/cdc-acm.ko

So I do I go from here?
