Re: connecting to the cdm9950sp/vm4450

I did try to run as root, but no avail.

My bitpim was installed through Synaptic (Ubuntu natty 11.04), so I
assume that all the files should be there. However I wonder if the
instructions you indicate are up to date and concurrent with the way the
installation places the files. For example, there is
no /etc/udev/rules.d/60-bitpim.rules, but there
is /lib/udev/rules.d/40-bitpim.rules, also there is no /usr/bin/bpudev,
but there is /lib/udev/bpudev and there is no "cellusers" group.

In any case, I'm wondering: when I plug the phone in, shouldn't I see
some port automatically opened in /dev, even without running bitpim?
