program won't start...file not found

Just downloaded BP for first time. Version 1.0.7.  When I try to open the
program, I get "This application has failed to start because MSVCP71.dll was
not found.  Re-installing the application may fix this problem."  I
downloaded again and re-installed with the same results.  *The "missing"
file is present in the BitPim folder on my computer.  *
I am running windows XP.  I don't know if this is an issue with my computer
or the download.
I can get to a notepad file that shows what the program was doing when it
stopped - I attached a snapshot of it.
Any help would be appreciated.  I am trying to move pictures from my LG
xv9200 to my computer using a straight USB cable.  I guess I need to get
into the program first.
