possible to view deleted notes?

So, my phone deleted everything in the notepad application. I think that
it's probably got a reserved block of memory because there's a specific
number of characters per note and a maximum number of notes. But I also
think it's probably gone from the file system. Would BitPim be able to
recover the notes? I just want to know before I go to the effort of doing
the development necessary to talk to my phone, which is currently
unsupported.
