sim multinumber (OT)

Someone told me it should be possible to have
multiple numbers on the same sim.
Maybe the can't be active at the same time.
By the way on the same sim here in Italy
it's possible to have multiple numbers, eg.
329/61xxxx1 voice
329/61xxxx2 fax
329/61xxxx3 data
Do you think it can be possible to use all those number to receive sms or just normal RING, and obviusly
know the exact number called?
