Hi Andreas,
Oded only wanted to manage those sms that goes 
directly to sm memory, even if AT+CNMI=1,2,0,0,0
tells to go to serial.
I have this problem with wavecom, and did not solved it.
sms with a certain alphanumeric sender goes throught
sim, maybe there is another AT+CNMI command to set,
but I was'n able to find it from docs.
So as we can't avoid to have them write to sim, 
with Oded patch we will be able at least to
read them.
If it works +1 for me to submit patch to cvs :-)
