What is your exact setup? When I wrote the code, I had lots of problem
with
network programs mishandling escaped characters (Treating hex %2b as +,
for
instance.) Do this kind of things happen in your case (does Kannel send
out
the rigth hex) ?

Another thing: set your phone standing beside your boombox. If it is
receiving
somethig, it would make rhytmic noices.
