I now get another error message:

2002-08-08 15:13:57 [14] ERROR: Packet too short while unpacking Msg.
2002-08-08 15:13:57 [14] ERROR: Msg packet was invalid.
2002-08-08 15:13:57 [14] ERROR: Failed to unpack data!

I used the latest snapshot patched with what you sent.

the reply path indicator (RPI) flas causes answers that are given on
an incoming SMS to be routed to the save SMSC number as the SMS that
arrives.

Hence you "temporarely" overwritte the handsets SMSC number entry for
replying to this specific messages.
