Does the 1.2.0 stable release contain sim-buffering?

I've been trying out the latest cvs snapshot but got the following error
when I request the status from kannel via the http interface:-

...
 gwlib/octstr.c:2104: seems_valid_real: Assertion `ostr != NULL' failed.
