Not if your editor can auto-indent with spaces, as any modern editor these days does.

Actually - it's a newer feature. tabs are phasing out as a way to indent text, as you now have strong editors that don't need tabs for that. most editors that are still missing this feature are adding it now (like Kdevelop, who only got the auto-indent with spaces properly in the last version).
