IMO the current CVS version is stable enough for deployment, considering the infrastructure and boxes. each driver may have issues seperatly, but I feel that each of the drivers I'm familiar with is safe enough for deployment on production.
This mostly because of the "no risk" attitude of the CVS commit policy - things get into the CVS only _after_ testing..
