Message buffering in SMSC

HI All,

Message buffered in SMSC before received on Gateway during high load. what 
could be the reason for that. Hence messages were recieved late on gateway.

SMSC = CMG
Gateway = 1.2.0 stable.
Operating System = REDHAT 7.3
