I'm not entirely sure it's an SMSC issue. I have sent messages from the kannel GSM device to my mobile and between mobiles on the same network and where I can view the sms date information it appears correct. Over the same network: Kannel -> mobile = correct date Mobile -> mobile = correct date Mobile -> kannel = incorrect dat I may have to try contacting the service provider to confirm that it's not their system. >> Also, I'd like to directly store all incoming messages on any SMSC into a >> MySQL database. > > There's no patch or module to handle that internally with in Kannel, but that > is no surprise as this is out of scope for the SMS gateway - this is > application logic. I would have had this down as more of a logging service. As opposed to specifying a logfile in kannel.conf it would be nice to specify a database connection instead and have all SMS traffic logged to a database instead. Has anyone created anything similar? >> Currently it calls an exec command on the default sms-service which executes >> a script, passing the relevant parameters to it. The executable works fine as there are other things that I need to do on receipt of a text message. However, I'm aware that the time at which a message is received may not be the actual time at which it was submitted to the SMSC. > Also - I am registered to the users list, but have not seen your original > question.
