Kannel crashes when reading Greek GSM alphabet

Hi.
When any of the greek characters are received by an
SMPP connection then the smsbox crashes producing the
following:

2002-10-10 15:29:20 INFO: Starting to service <ÄÐN>
from <1234567890> to <1234>
2002-10-10 15:29:20 [4] PANIC: gwlib/octstr.c:2099:
seems_valid_real: Assertion `ostr != NULL' failed.

Any idea?
