KANNEL GATEWAY=1.2.0
OPER SYSTEM=REDHAT 7.2
GNOME XML= LIBXML2-2.4.9

Dear list,

I am thoroughly frustrated now. I have tried to install and run EVERY known version of Kannel that is available

But every time the wapbox is crashing with "Segmentation fault"

This is what is my setup. I have a RedHat 7.2 machine which is currently on live hosting (.i.e its in the ISP hosting racks not in my office!)

I uploaded gateway-1.2.0.tar.gz via FTP onto this RedHat server, unzipped it, untarred it and ran the configure script:

./configure --prefix=<directory> --enable-docs <Enter>

touch .depend

make depend

make

make install

All is well till here.

I run the bearerbox, it runs fine

I run the wapbox, it runs fine

Now I run test/fakewap -v http://<my live server IP address>/<some wml page>

The wapbox says "Segmentation fault" and then "Connection was closed by <my live IP address>"

I traced the problem to this 'C' file:

gwlib/octstr.c: Line 170 (Approx)

This "return octstr_create_data_from_real()" line in function octstr_create_data() is creating the problem.

I strongly suspect that its a problem with the way WML pages are parsed by libxml.

Any suggestions would be welcome.
