CMG payload feild.

hello i am working with a technical testing/setup a EMI2 NEW connection at my mobile Provider
after setting up the connect, if i send to the short code kannel gets a blank message. the technical is saying that the message content is in the "payload" field and not the message text field??? is this a valid statement?
my setting are as follows.
