Kannel with MAC OS X and USB or IrDa?

Hi all,

today I got my new Powerbook and want to install kannel on my Mac OS X 
(V. 10.2.4) with Darwin.
I have a Sonyericsson T68i, usb-cable or can use irda.

Does anybody have experience with Mac OS X and kannel?
