Ok, once more ;)

I'm just checking now document WAP-249-PPGService-20010713-a.pdf,
section 6.1 "Client Address Format":

It seems the specs are *not* consistent, because they say:

wappush-address = ["/"] wappush-client-address ["/"] "@" ppg-specifier
wappush-client-address = "WAPPUSH" "=" client-specifier
ppg-specifier = dom-fragment *( "." dom-fragment )
dom-fragment = ( ALPHA / DIGIT ) *( ALPHA / DIGIT / "-" )
client-specifier = ( user-defined-identifier / device-address )
user-defined-identifier = ( escaped-value ext-qualifiers "/TYPE=USER"
)
device-address = ( global-phone-number ext-qualifiers "/TYPE=PLMN" )
/ ( ipv4 ext-qualifiers "/TYPE=IPv4" )
/ ( ipv6 ext-qualifiers "/TYPE=IPv6" )
/ ( man ext-qualifiers "/TYPE=MAN" )
/ ( escaped-value ext-qualifiers "/TYPE=" address-type )
address-type = 1*address-char

which *does* imply that the constant "WAPPUSH" and "TYPE" *should* (or
*must* ?!) be in upper-case.

But in section 6.2 "Client Address examples":

WAPPUSH=john.doe%40wapforum.org/[email protected]
; user-defined identifier for [email protected]
wappush=47397547589/[email protected]
; user-defined identifier for 47397547589
WAPPUSH=47397547589/[email protected]
; equivalent to previous one
WAPPUSH=+155519990730/[email protected]
; user-defined identifier that looks like a phone number

so obviously within the examples they don't care about case
sensitivity anymore.

Hmmmm.... we have two options:

1. Support lower-case too, which would be (at least some sort of)
wacky concerning section 6.1
2. Tell all PIs to go to hell if they don't implement section 6.1 ;)

In case we would pick 2, they could always come up with "but in the
examples they use lower-cases".

So I'd prefer 1. Which makes people then able to use Kannel as PPG
even with Jatayuu's MMSC ;))

BTW, anyone having a good contact to Jatayuu to provide us an MMSC
version of their for interoperability tests?!

Stipe
