I like the thoughts.

I know for us personally I always compile the wapbox binary and never use
it. The suggestion of having a /gateway/box directory (on the lines of the
/gateway/smsc directory) in which wapbox, smsbox, (smppbox etc.) reside and
then if you're modifying a box you can just go into that directory and
change from there makes a lot of sense to me.

Would suggest bearerbox stays in the /gateway/ directory and by default we
compile the sms and wap boxes as today.
