Gateway shutdown Thread Error ! PANIC

hi friends,
                I get a usual error 
2003-04-09 07:47:38 [0] PANIC: gwlib/gwthread-pthread.c:557: gwthread_wakeup: Assertion `thread >= 0' failed.
 
when I try stoping the Kannel.
 
Can somebody help me understanding the problem?
