hi we use 7 bit default alphabet as specified by GSM 03.38. I have found this alt-charset, but to be honest i dont quite know how to use it. mike -----Original Message----- From: Stipe Tolj [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, April 30, 2003 11:42 AM To: DILWORTH MICHAEL Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: support for Greek characters DILWORTH MICHAEL schrieb: > > SMPP. i had to set the interface version to 33 in the smsc group config to get it to connect. ok, that's good. You can use the 'alt-charset' to define which characterset encoding your SMSC is using. Kannel uses internal ISO-latin1 as character set. I guess greek is not included there right? Ask your SMSC provider which chracterset they use and try to configure your smsc group with 'alt-charset' (see user's guide for details.)
