basically you're fine with any MMS capable phone (for your visitors). 

If you want to send MMS then you obviously need to have an MMSC that
stores your MMS and delivery the MMS-notification via SMS to your
visitors.

If you run your own MMSC on a Linux box, you'll need at least SMSC
connectivity for the MMS-notification sending and let your users have
an MMS profile on their phones:

 a) using your local GSM operators GPRS profile and address your MMSC
URL
 b) use your own NAS (networks access server) via ISDN primary
multiplexer attachements and an RADIUS server for authentication and
accounting.

You *must* use b) in order to grap the MSISDN number of the
sender/receiver of an MMS. If you can only run a), then you need to
map some kind of userid within the MMSC URL to an previously
registered MSISDN number of the user.

What's the timeline for the implementation and what's the ammount of
traffic that is considered?
