for 1 you would need SMPP server abilities, which are yet not
included. It's present in our smppbox implementation, and it will be
included shortly.

about 2: if you provide an SMPP v3.4 server interface, then you have
to expect that WAP gw that do Push messaging via the SMPP link act
spec conform. No, we had no testing of commercial WAP gw vendors.

If someone of the vendors is reading: Drop us a free license copy and
we will test. Or we can provide a public SMPP v3.4 server for it?!

about 3: yes, you can push *any* kind of messages via Kannel. Even MMS
notification. We do this in our own mmsbox (MMSC) implementation fully
based on Kannel.
