RE: Make error

Andreas don't bother about it. I tried it on a Linux system and worked fine.
I may have a problem with the cygwin installation / configuration. Thanks a
lot for the immediate response.

how did you configure? 
looks like you need a more recent libiconv library or disable the use of
libiconv
