Yes, it runs with current configuration files.

However, the bugfix is solely intended to prevent the sending of
malformed PUSH OTA messages, and does not implement the logic to drop
excessively long concatenated message streams.

I can understand, however, why this feature would be desirable from a
VASP perspective.

Anyone want to massage the patch to be both correct (not produce bad
pushes) and sane (not send excessively long pushes)? I'm not sure I
understand Kannel interna well enough to implement the suppression code.
