Robert, please don't cross-post to different mailing lists, we
consider this annoying! ;)

ok, know regarding the size limitation.

You are correct, Kannel implements WAP 1.2.1 features WTP-SAR
(segmentation and reassembly), which means a maximum of 256 segments
can be bound to one logical transmission.

We would need a beast called ESAR (extended SAR) for having the
ability to pass "bigger chunks".

This is known to be a "missing" feature, also for future aspects (ie.
for WAP GW proxying of big MMS) etc.

Patches and contributions are highly welcome! -- you may consider
contacting the contributor of our WTP-SAR implementation and ask him
kindly if he has time and willing to contribute ESAR. See mailing list
archive for his email address.
