Interact with bearerbox

Hi,

I'm running ver 1.3.1 on my Linux Box RH 7.3. I have one wavecom modem
attached to my ttyS1 serial port. This is the smsc section:

group = smsc
smsc = at
modemtype = wavecom
device = /dev/ttyS1
speed = 28800
pin = 1234

I need to execute some AT command to make a normal voice call while the
bearerbox and the smsbox is running using the same device. Is it
possible?
Is there a way to send AT command using Kannel? Maybe through the
listening port?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
