just made some benchmark testing on the new custom access-log
formating. Seems the escape code parsing and Octstr appending is
reducing general performance by bearerbox by a factor of 3.

Which is in some sense un-acceptable. So be warned in case you need
something realy fast.

Alex proposed we should use a memory buffer in stack to reduce memory
acollation while processing the escape codes. 

I was wondering if there are some data structure beasts that can
"pre-compile" such an escape code sequence (in terms of a regex) and
latter only apply the fields to the positions rather then interpreting
and parsing the whole log-format line for each SMS time and time.

Suggestions welcome...
