As you wish, but then current comment is somewhat misleading:

"If modemtype=auto, try everyone and defaults to this one "

since at least for us, it wrongly detected the modem type in
"auto" and worked specifying "generic" directly. Maybe then
something like:

"If modemtype=auto, try everyone and defaults to this one. Beware
that in some cases, Kannel might incorrectly detect the
modemtype; to fix, specifying directly "generic" is needed."
