About how to extend the function of Kannel to supprot Web Services?

hi all,
     I am new to this mailing list, But I have studied the Kannel for two months.
Now, I want to extend the function of Kannel to support the Web Services . In this way,
the phone could make use of Web Services.
     In fact , I have some ideas to design this function ,and I have found some power tools (open 
source) to supprot it , such as , gSoap which parse the .wsdl file into .h header. But I lack of 
the skill of program , So I could not finish it as my Master's thesis by myself. Therefore I come here , ask for your help . 
     Are there some documents about Kannel architecture and design ? I only found two useful 
document "Kannel Architecture and Design" and "Investigating the Architecture of a WAP / SMS 
Gateway Server". Are there tools to create .wml file from xml or wsdl or .h ?
