Which version of Kannel can provide stable SMPP connectivity

Hi Everyone,

We are currently using Kannel v1.0 to connect to a CMG/Logica SMSC via SMPP.
This solution seems to work, but not always and not always in a stable
manner. There are all sorts of small problems that we face from time to
time. I understand that since v1.0 there has been some major improvements to
the SMPP protocol stack, so is it worthwhile to upgrade to a newer version
of kannel? If I should upgrade, which version should I use? Should I use
1.2.1, 1.3.1 or some particullar CVS snapshot of Kannel that is known to be
stable for inbound SMS connection to a SMPP connection?
