Develop new feature

Dear All,	
 	I'm develop mail feature (EMAIL2SMS and SMS2EMAIL) for Kannel, I've
finished this component but I don't know how to integrate it into
existing Kannel gateway.
	I'm trying to write a mailbox (very similar to smsbox) and integrate my
component into mail box. It's ok? 
	Please give me some advice.
