sending OTA wvsettings

hi list,

i am new with kannel. 
i have been trying to send wvsettings to a sony ericsson k700 and a nokia 7610.

i am running kannel 1.3.2. i was able to successfully received and
saved gprs settings to these two phones.
i used /sendota?username=xxx&password=xxx&to=xxx&text=URLEncodedXML.

however, when trying out the XML from the Nokia-SonyEricssion Specs
for wvsettings and Nokia OMA Client Provisionning,
the smsbox returns 'Sent' but the settings do not make it to the phones.

i have read from the devel archive
(http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg02719.html ) about a
patch that is not included
in 1.3.2 and incorporated it in. after doing this, i get a
segmentation fault core dump and smsbox terminates whenever i use
sendota
(even just sending gprs settings).

do i need to modify other files to get this to work? please help.
