+1 on this opinion Jörg. But Fred also states he implemented it in the 
abtraction level.

@Fred: simply send the clean patch in (with [PATCH] as subject) and let people 
have a review. If it is definetly a wrong approach from the architecture and 
abstraction point of view, we'll let you know: via a -1 vote ;)
