implementing sendsms-user authentication against db

Dear kannel developers,
for several reasons I need to have the
sendsms-user part to source out to a database.
Befor I start doing this , I want to know,
if anyone else is working on that, already.
In this case it would be nice to share your
progress.
I don't want to reinvent the wheel.
