hi there sir/maam,

Good Day!!!

this is my first time to implement kannel on a Fedora Linux distribution... i
was able to get things working from installation to the fakesmsc test. well
this time around my task is to connect a cellphone to the box and get http to
send requests to kannel to send msgs via this Nokia 6150 phone and vice versa
get to receive messages and processed by kannel then dumps to a database if
possible...

here are my questions:

1. is a Nokia 6150 phone compatible to kannel's operations
2. should the phone be required to have a modem
3. do i need to install any drivers for any specific phones
4. i tried using:

group = smsc
smsc = cimd
host = localhost
port = 600
smsc-username = foo
smsc-password = bar

group = smsc
smsc = cimd2
host = localhost
port = 600
smsc-username = foo
smsc-password = bar
keepalive = 5
my-number = "+639286053299"

group = smsc
smsc = at
modemtype = auto
device = /dev/ttyS1
speed = 9600

however they all seemed to fail... i feel i am not understanding this
correctly. could u please share to me the correct SMS Center configurations?

hope to be enlightened... all the best!!!

pal,
benjohn
