AW: Using the GPRS modem at the same time as kannel

What you want to do should be possible when you enable multiplexer
mode (see the AT+CMUX command). You can map the different multiplexer
channels to pseudo terminals in Linux/Unix and run Kannel on one
channel and pppd on the other.
