OTA bookmark issue

Hi folks,

I'm trying to send a bookmark and somehow I cant get it to work.
First thing: the documentation is wrong. The exmample provided in the  
manual doesn't compile.
What I figured out is that the parameter &text=... has to be &ota=...

I get the message being "Sent." but noting gets received on the phone.
Is the OTA bookmark mechanism handset specific? I thought it wasn't

Heres what I tried:

Anyone have a hint on this or is it just broken?
(if its broken, its broken since a few years as I also tried on a  
pretty old version I still have on one machine).
