definetly +1. I'm currently in the process of investigating the main release
showstoppers via our bug tracking system, and if everything seems smooth enough,
I'll consolidate all changes in the NEWS file and hit the "tag-and-roll" button
for 1.4.1 stable.

Once again... release cycles need to get faster... like all of us know.

But (at least me) I'm thankfull for a "pushing" reminder like you did ;)

ok, this sounds more the Kannel gwlib/http.c specific for the server side,
right? Is there any chance you pull a ethereal scan between client->server
communication to log the specfic TCP communication flow? That would be the best
in getting a real idea what happens.

??? yep. Please do a ethereal scan for both variants and pass it as files to the
list for reviewing if possible.
