Regarding Database

Hi,

I have a query i want to connect the "SMS Gate way" with "My-SQL" database. 
I have some tables in my-sql database. I just want to know how do i retrive 
the values from database into my application code, which i have written in 
"smsbox.c" file.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
