FOA,  this is not "segmentation error" but "segmentation fault"
Then, could you please give us more information about your plateform 
(i386, x86_64, smp, ect...) a cat /proc/cpuinfo will helps us

i have compiled the sources of kannel 1.4.0 on fedora core 4.

When i launch it with the demo config, i have an error wich is in french
"Erreur de segmentation" (we can translate it in segmentation error".

someone can help me ?
