validyperiod is not intended for smpp smsc connector. you could specify
validity period using smsbox interface, i.e by specifying 'validity'
cgi-parameter, X-Kannel-Validity on sms-service or 'vp' xml element if
you use post-xml.

I do successfully set validity period using those interface (actually I
use X-Kannel-Validity) to two mobile operators which use smpp. One of
these operators use 'broken' validity period format (i.e using localtime
instead of GMT).
