Too many open files

Hello,

I have been getting the "Too many open files" error with version 1.4.0 of
Kannel.
After reading this list archive I found some mesages from "Alexander Malysh
" with a patch to remove leaking file descriptors which may be just what I
need.

So I'd like to know:
1 - Can I apply just this patch in the stable version of Kannel? Has anyone
done so?
2 - Is this patch avaiable somwhere in the archieves? I could not find it
anywhere.
