Hello Andreas, Thank you for the reply. I know EMS and the way it is encoded in one or more PDUs. I also know it is outdated, but it is still an important requirement for our project :( We are using Kannel as a VAS gateway - we get SMS (and would also need EMS) over SMPP 5 (we will extend Kannel to support it and most likely submit a patch back to the developers with this) from an SMSC and we will put it via HTTP in a server that will then send everything via SIP through an IMS core. The problem we have is Kannel does not seem to be able to decode EMS PDUs so that we can send them via HTTP requests. I was mentioning MBuni, the way it does the job with MMS - receives them even via SMTP and then decodes everything in a multipart HTTP request body (the SMIL part and then the rest of the content). We would need to do someting very similar with EMS PDUs. Any idea on how difficult would this be with Kannel is appreciated. It is a encoding on top of binary SMS. In other words, it doesn't matter for Kannel. As long as you encode it correctly, it will transport it. Besides that, EMS is somewhat outdated and only supported by a few phones.
