I'm +1 for having it as an OPTIONAL feature either as config param or compile flag but turned off by default. As you said, it might break automatic parsing and I also have found it annoying when reading log files. (That's why I have used this patch only for a few days while troubleshooting the infamous throughput issue and then switched back to seconds resolution.) > -----Original Message----- > From: Stipe Tolj [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: 29 November 2007 17:47 > Cc: [email protected] > Subject: Re: Include miliseconds in logging > > Is this of generic interest to all? > > If yes, I'm +1 to commit to cvs. The only thing we need to "note" is that > people > doing logfile parsing (ie. for accounting or reporting) need to be > "informed" by > the COMPATIBILITY BREAKER section of the NEWS file for a new release. > > Stipe > > ------------------------------------------------------------------- > Kölner Landstrasse 419 > 40589 Düsseldorf, NRW, Germany > > tolj.org system architecture Kannel Software Foundation (KSF) > http://www.tolj.org/ http://www.kannel.org/ > > mailto:st_{at}_tolj.org mailto:stolj_{at}_kannel.org > ------------------------------------------------------------------- >
