64 bit or 32 bit

Hi,

We are looking at running Kannel on our 64 bit Server.

1. Do Kannel developers experience that Kannel runs faster or slower on 64
bit server versus 32 bit OS?

2. How do you compile Kannel on a 64 bit OS? Are there any extra compile
options? 

3. If we want to compile 32 bit Kannel on a 64 bit OS, will it compile as
usual or must we use any extra compile options?
