Max error on modem detection

is max-error-count only resets the modem rather than closing the box?

can we do that or make it other name for the config to shut down kannel if we cannot detect modem or continuous errors.  I just thought cause I accidentally produce a 27G of logs on my modem.log cause we reproduce an automated opening of kannel but since like modem is not connected, that its the reason of a 27G of log.
