RE: Next stable Kannel version soon?

IMHO, it would be great to have the meta-data and DLR patches committed once
they are deemed stable.  The product would be more robust and would (more
likely) address the needs of the open-source users that do not delve into
the dev side of the product.  

I've met a number of people/companies that decided to create their own
gateways because of some features that aren't available on the
production/stable version of Kannel.  

I've only been looking through the dev side of Kannel for a few months now,
but I've been using the product since 2002.  It's easier to justify to
management to use stable releases of an open-source product rather than to
justify the use of a dev version with patches.  IMO, it's a psychological
thing, but it's a reality that most dev teams need to live with.

I haven't had a problem with the new meta-data and DLR patches.  If everyone
else thinks it's good, I think it should be committed.

The last stable version is about 2yrs or older. Development is ongoin,
and will always be.

I agree with Alejandro, as soon as all meta-data and dlr patches are
commited, then its time.
