Custom HTTP CGI variables names

Hi, Is there a way to customize the names of the HTTP interface CGI variables names? I'm working on an SMS engine that is part of Adhere mobile advertising platform. The engine currently supports SMPP only for accepting MO messages, but we are working on extending this to support receiving messages via HTTP as well. We have been experimenting with using Kannel to handle receiving inbound SMS messages via HTTP then forwarding it to our engine. So far it's been working like charm. However, we would like to provide our customers with a flexible interface to make any potential transition from an existing gateway as smooth as possible. Is there an existing patch or addon that enables mapping CGI variables to different names? If not, is it a feature you would be interested in adding and are there any guidelines we should follow while implementing this feature to have it integrated with the next Kannel release?
